Fannys nightclub exists on the historic and state-significant Argyle House site.
Argyle House was built in the 1860's and was used as the head office of the powerful Australian Agricultural Company until 1965, at which time it was sold.
With minor restorative and construction work, the building was then developed into a theatre restaurant called "Fanny's Bar & Grill". It was named "Fanny's" after the American woman who owned the venue at this time.
The venue has most recently been renovated in the final months of 2007. The result is a contemporary, attractive space.
