The Gawler Race Course is a 37km drive north of Adelaide and found on the edge of the flourishing Barossa Valley. Even the course location adopts itself to the flourishing atmosphere with its perfectly manicured lawns and classy looking rose gardens that surround the modern day, multi purpose Terrace Function centre.
The Gawler Racecourse is 1840m in circumference and has a 300m long straight. A few curves and a rather long final turn can give inside barriers an advantage over distances of 1700m and less.
The course is a fabulous spot for a mid-week race meet and an even better venue to celebrate the Gawler's premium race even, the Gawler Cup.
