Gluttony – a decadent feast for the senses and Adelaide’s newest Fringe venue destination will open with an invitation-only showcase event on Wednesday 16 February and to the public on Thursday 17 February.

Having made its debut in 2010, Gluttony 2011 has undergone radical changes including a new location, format and management.

Located next to Tandanya on the corner of East Terrace and Grenfell Street, the Gluttony site provides an intimate, leafy setting for its three theatre venues, plus bars and food outlets.

Chill-out lounge areas, DJs from Adelaide’s hottest clubs (Casablabla, Elysium, Sugar, Apple), and live acoustic sessions and bands playing over weekends and Friday nights will complement Gluttony’s theatre venues, creating a boutique destination for the decadently discerning who are seeking somewhere new and über cool to hang out this Fringe Festival.

The Gluttony theatres Carry On, Excess and Bally will predominantly feature comedy, with an exceptional international line-up compiled primarily by 3 of a Kind Productions (Carolyn ‘Flee’ Lee and Eddie Bannon). Flee and Eddie have recently returned to Adelaide after spending 14 years in Ireland representing comics and producing a host of comedy events around the world, including many at the Edinburgh Fringe - from where they have sourced many of the acts appearing at Gluttony. Eddie is also a former Artistic Director of the renowned Kilkenny Cat Laughs Comedy Festival. Needless to say – these two know comedy!
