Innocent Bystander

Established in 2004 by Phil Sexton, Innocent Bystander is an independent winery focused on producing quality, flavour-driven wines from carefully selected vineyards in the Yarra Valley and beyond. The winery is built around gravity flow principles and designed for small-batch winemaking. Over time the winemaking team have increased the level of complexity and texture in the Innocent Bystander wines with greater use of wild fermentations and restrained oak handling.

Located in the main street of Healesville in Victoria, Innocent Bystander has set a new standard in small-batch winemaking and modern cellar door presentation. With artisan bread, house-roasted coffee, a cheese room and a bistro featuring the best in local and seasonal produce, Innocent Bystander is figuratively and literally unmissable.
