The Mill Place Precinct is a creative learning precinct at the geographic and social heart of the Cooroy community.
The precinct includes:
- The Cooroy Library
- The Butter Factory Arts Centre, which hosts exhibitions, workshops and family days
- The Ceramics Workshop
- The Lower Mill Site which houses the restored Boilerhouse and Kilns, the Log Maze, the Cooroora Woodworkers and the Sunshine Coast Camphor Laurel Initiative Inc
- An open green space between the library and Cooroy Creek, now used for the annual Cooroy Fusion Festival in May.
The precinct is an accessible, welcoming community hub that draws people together in an environment of which they can be proud. It is a place that inspires and nurtures the community's recreational, educational, cultural and creative needs.
