Moora Performing Arts Centre

The Moora Town Hall is a listed building on the State Heritage Register with construction dating from 1908. The building was severely damaged in the 1999 Moora floods and rendered unusable. However, with determination by the client, a creative architectural solution and energetic funding arrangements by the Shire, the building has been reborn as the Moora Performing Arts Centre to reclaim it's central role in the cultural and recreational life of this wheatbelt regional town. Given the tight funding constraints, the building needed to be a multi purpose facility catering for all flat floor functions such as meetings, dinners, weddings and dances as well as catering for live music, professional drama productions and cinema.
