The Mount Shadwell Hotel was established in 1942 and first licensed in 1855. Established as an ancient Bush inn, the buidings have undergone changes throughout the years but still remain their bluestone character.

The Webster family purchased the Hotel in 1963. Owners Travis and Anna Anders are 3rd generation.
