New Futures Creative

New Futures Creative is part of New Futures Training - the Registered Training Organisation of VICSEG New Futures. While the space primarily focuses on building the creative skills of our students, making them confident, competent and enthusiastic about the creative development of the children and people in their care, NFC’s broader focus is to create nurturing programs for the whole community, based in cultural acceptance and exchange.

New Futures Creative seeks to celebrate migrant and refugee communities by providing the means for cultural exchange in a creative and safe environment. By collaborating with communities, artists and organizations or as individuals sharing skills, NFC offers the opportunity for self-development, creative engagement, social cohesion and emotional nurturing.

Some of the programs we wish offer include health education, practical craft techniques, art therapy, healthy and low cost family friendly food education, sharing of and the collection of traditional and individual stories and making useful items for displaced persons.
Some of our projects include:

- Exploring textiles,clay,paint and mixed media.
- Simple sewing
- Hand crafts
- Storytelling and compiling
- Dance and movement, including traditional and contemporary dance
- Yoga and meditation for health & wellbeing
- Cooking on a budget
