Princes Park is one of Glen Eira’s most popular parks.
In 1923, part of this area became known as Shilabeer’s Paddock and was used as a sandpit and refuse disposal area. The area was later developed into around 10 hectares of parkland.
The western end of Princes Park is on-leash. The on-leash area includes the playground, rotunda, picnic area, car park and open space area along Hawthorn Road. The sportsgrounds are off-leash.
