Roleystone Club

In late 1971 a group of interested residents of Roleystone floated the idea of establishing a property in Wygonda Road, Roleystone for this purpose. The property was originally named ‘Magic Mountain’ and was owned by a London based banking family, the property consisted of a large spacious house and a caretaker cottage on 6.5 acres of land with beautiful views over the Araluen Valley.

The club was finally established in 1972 and has green title ownership of the property on which it was established. It was originally established as a Community based meeting place giving members and guests access to entertainment, refreshments, functions and sporting activities such as Lawn Bowls, Darts and Pool. Over the years the club has also been used by many local organisations in which to hold their monthly and annual meetings and their fundraising activities such as Quiz Nights.

The club continues to be the only fully licensed premises within the Roleystone area.
