Experience the living history of New South Wales Parliament, Australia’s first and oldest Parliament House.

When Australia’s first Parliament was formed in 1829, dining at the building was only the privilege for members of Parliament, visiting dignitaries, consul representatives and members of the Royal family.

Today the Parliament House of New South Wales is open to all.

Open Monday to Friday
12.00 pm – 3.00 pm on non-sitting days
The Strangers’ Restaurant is located within the Parliament building and overlooks the beautiful Domain Gardens.
A fine dining experience that provides a rich array of gourmet New South Wales seasonal produce.

The NSW Parliament tradition of sourcing quality food from local farmers continues to this present day.

The Parliamentary Catering recognises the importance of sourcing ethical and sustainable foods where all items are procured from suppliers who conduct sustainable farming practices.

Our menu is carefully selected to showcase regional produce which reflects the unique and vast produce of New South Wales.

Bookings are essential.
