The Art House & Gallery

A small group of art lovers from all walks of life met for the very first meeting in March 1987. All of them were very enthusiastic to start an art society because there was nothing in the area to serve their needs.

The first annual exhibition was not until the following year, 1988, and was a great success. Since then the Society has gone from strength to strength with more members joining over the years. Not everyone in the society has had formal training and many learners have gone on to be very accomplished artists. They offer a community service to people who love to paint or enjoy art.
