The Diggers’ Store is an iconic heritage building in Castlemaine, established in 1857. Once selling mining supplies to the local diggers, it has an historical significance for the region. In the original store today visitors will find a multiple use space, with an art gallery/project space.
Behind the main house and store, sits a carefully converted 1850s stable, now bed & breakfast accommodation. Adjoining the old stable is a large stone building containing a 100% analogue recording studio – Sound Recordings.
