From the white village of Thorn to the shores of the Swan, Sir Henry Hudson sailed. Leaving behind the abbeys and a convent of twenty noble ladies, he went in search of less virtuous women who had a love of beer. The Halve Maen (Half Moon) ship on sighting the fair shores of Victoria Park, it's captain, Sir Hudson knew he had set eyes on his new home. A strip and locale, so celebratory of food, wine, women and song, it was his true calling. His Dutch heritage and his new home collided and the Dutch Trading Co. was born. A true beer bar, but also welcoming of all rum runners, tobacco traders, spice merchants, salty sailors, gold diggers, ladies and wenches alike. A home for all to celebrate their love of the hop (and other vices). Welcome to the Dutch Trading Co. or as we like to say in these parts, Hallo.
