Third Settlement Reserve is such a lovely park and it is now on our regular visit list. There is a fab shaded playground, lots of paths to walk and ride on, a little bushwalk along Toongabbie Creek, plenty of picnic facilities and open grassed spaces. I also learnt some interesting local history. Like the fact that Toongabbie was the third settlement by Europeans in Australia. It was originally founded as a Government Farm to grow food for the colony in April 1792.
