Tractor Design School

Tractor is a specialist design school run by industry leaders. It’s the new name for Grenadi School of Design, which had a 20-year history and a fantastic reputation. During the transition to Tractor, it was careful to keep the things that made Grenadi famous: small class sizes, and an attentive learning environment that helped students develop their creativity.

Tractor was originally co-founded by Simon Pemberton and Mentally Friendly. Simon is arguably the most experienced design educator in the country, with over 10 years experience running other design schools including Billy Blue, CATC and Raffles College of Design.

In 2013, David Trewern and Ryan Trainor joined Tractor to assist in its journey to become a fully accredited, world-class design and digital school. Originally a designer, David was the founder of DT Digital, which today is one of Australia’s largest and most successful digital agencies. He brings a level of industry experience unrivalled in design education, and understands firsthand what students need to know now to get the most exciting jobs.
