Tygum Park

Tygum Park, a waterside park in Waterford West, is a drawcard for pirate-mad youngsters, bird-watchers and outdoor enthusiasts. Overlooking a large lagoon, Tygum Park is an expansive grassy space with a decidedly nautical theme. The main playground looks very much like a pirate ship, complete with sails and flags. A second playground area continues the theme with a six-metre high climbing fort resembling a ship’s crow’s nest lookout. Other highlights include a skate park, half basketball court, covered picnic tables, electric barbecues and scooter/bike paths.
