A laid-back atmosphere that befits a township of 18 people greets guests as they enter the pub. In summer, the beer garden beckons thirsty or hungry travellers. In cooler months, several glowing wood fires welcome guests into the pub. The beautiful natural environment of Tasmania surrounds the pub and we are a stopping point for motorbike riders, dirt bike riders, mountain bike riders, fossickers, twitchers, bushwalkers and drivers that just don’t want to face another set of bends in a day.

Nestled at the bottom of the iconic Blue Tier mountain bike trail and located midway on the drive between Scottsdale and St Helens. The pub forms the heart of the town and is part of the social fabric of the broader community around it.

In years gone by, we were proud to claim that we sold all the craft beers and ciders produced in Tasmania. With the recent explosion in craft breweries, we can no longer say that. However, we remain proudly focused on selling only Tasmanian beers, ginger beers, ciders, wines and spirits. The more local, the better. And the same applies to the food.

For those who want to stay in the area, we have 7 internal rooms that are classic pub accommodation and a hectare of campground for those willing to brave the elements in tents or camper vans.
