Woodvale Library is one of four branch libraries in the City of Joondalup and was officially opened on 13 November 1991 by the then Mayor-Councillor W.H. Marwick JP. In 2006, Woodvale received a revamp of the interior space with the inclusion of a dedicated fantasy children's area, complete with Dewey the Gargoyle and Archibald the Dragon. Woodvale is open plan in design, yet dedicated zones have been created to showcase the library resources and comfortable seating, study and internet areas.
