Carole King (born February 9, 1942) is an American singer, songwriter, and pianist. While she has been a successful songwriter for a decade, her singing career and fame peaked during the first half of the 1970s.
King has won four Grammy Awards and was inducted into both the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for her songwriting, along with long-time partner Gerry Goffin. - Wikipedia
