Promoters at Peats Ridge have once again opened applications to take part in the three-day festival. Artists from any genre who wish to target a wider audience should complete a submission form at peatsridgefestival.com.au and include their most recent CD or demo. Submissions close Thursday August 2.

Last year saw over 10,000 festival goers spend their New Years at Glenworth Valley with acts like Gotye, Xavier Rudd and Husky. 2011 was also the first time the event was streamed live on YouTube with over 50 hours of live footage and interviews seen by more than 200,000 viewers. Festival Director Matt Grant says the live YouTube stream was a great tool for lesser-known bands, like Sydney indie-pop band The Holidays. “Since playing at the Festival last year, The Holidays have received over 84,000 views of their performance on our YouTube channel. You’d have to fill a big stadium to get those sorts of audiences normally,” Grant said.

Peats Ridge runs over New Year's, from Saturday 29 December 2012 to Tuesday 01 January 2013.
