Weekend Picks: Under 18s, film buffs and music lovers take note

The Alliance Francaise French Film Festival has kicked off in Canberra, WOMADelaide has the creme de la creme of world music on its line-up as it parties from Friday to Monday, and gulp a big Breath of Life in Launceston, with the likes of Dizzee Rascal, 360 and Birds of Tokyo - and it’s for charity!

The NAB Cup makes its way to Alice Springs in a Port Adelaide vs. West Coast match, while the Presidents of the United States of America take sweet, sweet 90s indie rock to Coolangatta and Brisbane. Oscar Wilde’s hilarious The Importance of Being Earnest, opens on Saturday for three weeks in Perth, Flix In the Stix makes its way to Bendigo and Ballarat, and the English National Ballet dance in Sydney.

All ages shows are all the rage this weekend too (and about time!) with Good Life in Melbourne on Friday and Sydney on Sunday, plus Victoria’s longest running all ages music festival Push Over dropping hip hop and hardcore on your Monday.
