The Centre is managed by an volunteer Board of Management who are elected on a two year basis at our Annual General Meeting. Generally speaking our Board Members are local to the area and have been active in the Centre for some years, therefore have a sound understanding of the communities needs. The Board of Management is supported by the Community Development Officer, an employee of the City of Onkaparinga, and her role is support and assist the Board in the management and delivery of services, activities and programmes. The Centre, to ensure it can meet its operational costs, recieves funding from the City of Onkaparinga along with funding to employ a finance officer to manage all financial transactions on behalf of the Centre. All remaining funds needed for the Centre are raised through the hiring out of our facilities, gaining of grants, corporate partnerships with companies such as Bendigo Bank and Campbell Page and from general fund raising. The Centre relies heavily on volunteers for its day to day operation with volunteers working in a variety of roles from board members through to computer and literacy tutors, cooks, receptionists and leisure activity facilitators, without them the Centre would not be able to operate.
