The Embassy of Italy is located in one of the most famous and elegant districts of Canberra, Deakin, close to the main federal government institutions, as well as the official residence of the Premier of Australia.
It was designed in 1967 by Arch. Enrico Taglietti, an Italian who moved to Australia in the 1950s and who over the course of his professional career has distinguished himself for reinforced concrete works with strong visual and spatial effects.
In fact, the Italian Embassy maintains the characteristic of a reinforced concrete construction with shapes made full of momentum and with interiors characterized by wooden panels that give dynamism to the forms themselves.
