Mount Gambier Showground
The Showground also houses big theatre-style halls that can seat up to 1,000 guests. In addition, the Showgrounds boasts several small halls, suitable for exhibitions.
The Mount Gambier Showgrounds is also home to a small, yet fully serviced campground. This campground is perfect for small groups of campers and backpackers, with water, shower and toilet facilities available. Campers can come here any time, but please note that the sites are offered on a first-come-first-served basis. The campsite is also well-equipped to accommodate many larger self-contained motorhomes, RVs and buses; with plenty of unpowered sites available.
There are no reservation options or credit card systems available for these camp sites, so campers must make their payment in cash to the camp hosts, Rob & Marg, who live on site.
Although the campgrounds are open all year-round, guests are advised to check the event schedule at the showgrounds before planning to come here. As the showground hosts many major events, the availability of these campgrounds does vary.
