Saba's Ethiopian Restaurant

Hailing from the far northern region of Tigray, the beautiful meat, vegetarian and vegan dishes at Saba’s are served on the famous Injera bread. It uses 100% Teff flour for the Injera, just like in Ethiopia. In fact all food served at Saba’s is 100% gluten free the way Ethiopian cuisine is authentically with a celiac safe kitchen.

The heart of the flavours at Saba’s come from the famous hand-ground “Berbere” spice, Ethiopian chilli combined with 15 – 50 other spices which gives our meat, vegetarian and vegan dishes their signature kick. Ethiopian cuisine is also heavily based on legumes, this may have been due to the Christian population observing more than 200 fasting days a year in which they are required to go vegan – hence a long established vegan offering.

It serves traditionally roasted brewed shot of Ethiopian coffee, better yet with a well stirred spoonful of sugar, or better still with a shot of local ouzo! It also has a fantastic private function space upstairs.
