The Speakeasy Theatre recently reopened under new ownership and management by Artists, for Artists. Housed in a building with a colourful history dating back to the 1850's parts of the building's history have been included in the recent re-design. Hidden behind a Speakeasy Bar,

The Main Theatre can seat 60 people cabaret style, and can be adapted for theatre style seating. There are 3 stages in the main theatre: The Proscenium stage, The Piano Stage and the Runway. each with their own lighting.

The Main Theatre boasts designs from the Victorian Vaudeville era with lush red velvet draping and gold embossed wallpaper that will transport you back to the golden era of Vaudeville.

The Vault Theatre is a more intimate setting seating up to 25 people in the old Gold Vault below the theatre. with its very own Vault bar and boasting Edwardian Era furnishings.

Both spaces are equipped with their own sound and lighting. Your own sound and lighting can be brought in as well.

The Speakeasy Lobby is equipped with a box office, a wine bar and a cocktail bar.

The Theatre also includes:
A large Dressing room with multiple HMU Stations and wardrobe
A Green Room
A boudoir Lounge

*PLEASE NOTE*
Due to the heritage of the building, the main theatre is located up a set of stairs, there is no wheelchair access to the main theatre.
The Vault Theatre is located on street level and accessible via Mercantile Place for those with mobility access requirements.
