2019 Block Party

Celebrate local Australian arts and culture at the ultimate Block Party event and enjoy the latest works from emerging artists, musicians and performers, as well as a kung fu class, fashion parade, cinema and food trucks.

Held in TWT Property Group’s Creative Precinct in St Leonards, the Block Party aims to encourage the public to engage in the creative industries while also activating the cultural hub. This year’s theme for Block Party is Evolve, which highlights the evolution of the precinct and celebrates the growing number of success stories, including artists and businesses, that have thrived in the space.

The highlight of the event will be the unveiling of a new public mural painted by Australian artist and illustrator, Thomas Jackson, scheduled at 7:30pm. Guests will be treated to an adventure as they explore the cultural hub and experience the latest works from local artists including:

- Musical performance: Cam Nacson, a Sydney born singer-songwriter, who has toured Australia and the USA as a solo performer and supporting act for Maroon 5
- Cinema: Film production, distribution and event cinema company, Arcadia, will be showing short films at the cinema
- Live performance: Stalker Theatre, one of Australia’s leading physical theatre companies known for their production of innovative, inter-disciplinary, physical and visual theatre will perform
- Student showcase: Four stand out artists of UNSW’s 2017 & 2018 TWT Excellence prize will showcase their artworks
- For the kids: Face painting and a chocolate Easter egg hunt
