Arabesk Summer Tour 2019

Halfway through an East Coast Tour Arabesk are back in the Hood and ready to lift your spirits with a touch of tango, reggae rhythms, jazz flavoured funky beats and even a traditional waltz! Australian songwriting award winners (2011, 2017) and finalists in the 2017 International Songwriting Competition, Arabesk have been bringing original Australian music with their own special brand of global grooves to audiences since 2003.
In recent years Arabesk have performed at major Australian music festivals including Wangaratta Jazz, Hobart's Clarence Jazz Festival, Palm Creek Folk Festival, Manly International Jazz Festival and Parramasala.
They recently performed at the 2018 Takatsuki Jazz Street, having previously performed at the festival in 2011 and 2015. This year marks the band’s fourth visit to Japan – they also performed at the 2016 Sumida Street Jazz Festival in Tokyo.
Arabesk are Rob Shannon (guitar/percussion), Veren Grigorov (violin), Tom Wade (bass) and Calvin Welch (drums).
