Porcelain art is unique and innovative, using many different, individually applied and kiln fired techniques to achieve the brilliant colours and stunning effects, exclusive to the art.

The skills and creative talents of porcelain artists from the West Australian Guild of China Painters will be on display at Guildford Town Hall. Opening will be on Saturday, 10:30am with wine and canapés. Entry is free with porcelain art available for sale. Light refreshments will also be available. ‘Aspects’ is the collaboration of porcelain artists capturing the diversity of interpretation and vision of this year’s theme, with an exhibition of exciting new works of art, in ultra modern, contemporary and conservative styles.

A special feature this year will be a ‘Sale of Vintage West Australian Hand Painted Porcelain’ dating from 1950s–2015, featuring art works by the Guild’s past and present members. The Guild, Australia’s oldest china painting association, has been promoting the art since 1964 and this exhibition is a great opportunity to see some of the best porcelain artists in Australia.

For more information about the WA Guild of China Painters or the upcoming exhibition please visit the Guild’s website or phone President Irena Kopec on 9375 7234.
