Australia Day On the Green

Celebrate Australia Day On the Green with live music and one of the largest fireworks displays at South Bank with family and friends! Along with Green and gold fireworks and jet ski performances, live entertainment will feature Australian music acts Birdman Randy and The Ivory Street Preachers and special guest DJs performing from 1pm at River Quay.

For the first time, the display will showcase six pyrotechnic jet ski performers, launching fireworks as they perform in front of the promenade—a fireworks spectacular not to be missed! The display will commence at 7:30pm and last 10 minutes with the best vantage points being the Clem Jones promenade, the Cultural Forecourt and River Quay.

As this is a family focused event, the entire parklands will be alcohol-free for the entire day. Restaurants, bars and cafes will be open as per usual on Australia Day, as will the car park.
