The Greenbank community is gearing up to celebrate Australia Day weekend at Everleigh’s brand-new $5.1 million parkland for the ‘Aussie Summer Beats’ festival, with live entertainment and free activities kicking off from 3pm.
The family-friendly event will include special live performances from Gold Coast acoustic duo Incus Pilots and Circular Rhythm, whose didgeridoo-based extravaganza has been featured on ABC’S Play School.
The event will also feature lawn games including ‘thong throwing’ and ‘lamington speed eating’, plus a waterslide for the kids. The first 200 visitors will receive a free meat pie and cold drink and those attending are reminded to slip, slop, slap.
