Australian Tattoo Expo

The Australian Tattoo Expo is returning to Brisbane for an unmissable weekend of tattoos, art and entertainment. After the massive success of its Queensland debut in 2018, the biggest tattoo event in the country is returning to the Sunshine State and bringing over 250 tattoo artists together under one roof at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The most talented local and international tattoo artists will join forces to showcase their work, including artists travelling from as far and wide as New Zealand, South Africa, Nepal and Japan to take part in the event.

Visitors will have the chance to meet their next (or first!) artist, watch them in action, research the latest trends, or even treat themselves to a tattoo on the spot! Artists will be selling prints and merch, and retailers will be in attendance selling streetwear, jewellery and more.

Hosted by Chasing Ghosts frontman, Jimmy Kyle, the event will feature daily circus performances and the second round of the 2019 Australian Tattoo Series. Artists will continue battling it out for points to come out on top, with the overall winner taking home the title of 2019 Australian Tattoo Series Champion and a sweet $10,000 in prize money at the end of the year.

The hugely popular Sh!ttest Tattoo Competition will be returning to the Expo, so come along and show off your ink that seemed like good idea at the time. You might just win something! With so much to see and do, you definitely don’t want to miss out on this huge celebration of art, diversity and tattoo culture.
