Barkly Bikes Festival

Brunswick's favourite bike festival returns, celebrating all things on two wheels.

Transforming the outdoor laneway precinct, the free community event will host a charity breakfast fundraiser, offer free bike safety checks for visitors, house the latest and greatest bespoke cycling accessories, amaze with wheel-y spectacular circus performances, free healthy smoothies as well as live music and giveaways galore.

A breakfast barbeque fundraiser will kick of the event in support the Amy Gillet Foundation; Australia’s leading cycling safety organisation. An exclusive Q&A with friends of the foundation will discuss prevalent topics within the cycling community and rider safety; hosted by Australian SBS Tour de France commentator, Matthew Kennan. Highlighting the importance of road safety, the Transport Accident Commission’s interactive driver-rider installation will demonstrate and educate visitors on keeping a safe distance on the roads.
