Beginners' Summer Botanic Art Weekday Workshop

4-Day Workshop with Dianne Emery

Learn how to paint flowers and plants, known as Botanic Art or Botanical Illustration. These intensive 4-day courses are an introduction to botanical art via pencil and watercolour. Students will begin to develop skills in outline drawing, foreshortening, tonal work and rendering of surfaces, basic colour work and paint application.

The cost of the course includes equipment to be used during the workshop—drawing materials, paint, watercolour paper and brushes; and morning and afternoon tea. We strongly recommend that students who are new to botanical illustration complete a Beginners’ Workshop prior to entering term classes.
