"I thought, I need to record like that one day, stripped back and solo. Hank died on the way to a gig in the back seat of a 1952 blue Cadillac. He was 29. When I arrived back home, my friend James Van Cooper and I wrote the song 1952 Cadillac. It’s the opening/title track of my new solo album.
