Browns Plains Penmanship & Calligraphy

Come along to the Logan West Library (Browns Plains) for free classes in calligraphy and penmanship. Learn modern writing styles, calligraphy, Medieval illumination.

You no longer have to work on your own. Come and meet other passionate people while you practice with pens and brushes and share your experience, knowledge, and skills. If you don't have any pens then you can borrow mine until you know it is right for you. Don't buy anything before you come along, as we can give you suggestions on the best or cheapest kits and where to get them.

We use both dip-pens, brushes, and fountain pens. If you already have equipment then bring them along. If they need servicing then we can help you with that (free). This is a small group so book in quickly, we welcome everyone (as long as you can write).

Don't worry if you're a beginner or a master, you can learn from us or we can learn from you. I am interested in how you started, your experience, and your goals. Don’t be shy, you can stay as long or as little as you like.

These are self-paced classes to: learn new and practice calligraphy styles; identify the best equipment for penmanship and calligraphy; best paints for illumination; and discuss everything on pens, paper, ink, and drawing.
