Chain Heavy EP Showcase

Brisbane hip hop heavyweights Calski and Blaq Carrie return to The Bearded Lady to showcase the ‘Chain Heavy’ EP. With Calski laying the production groundwork for Carrie’s storytelling, ‘Chain Heavy’ is the pairs’ first collaborative effort. The meeting of the graceful lyricist and fierce producer has brought forth a captivating body of work covering vast hip hop territory and is an insight to Blaq Carries life as an African migrant living, working and finding success in Australia while still being chained to responsibilities back home in Zimbabwe. The Chain Heavy EP Showcase will be the first for chance punters to hear the EP live and in full effect at one of West Ends most popular venues for local music The Bearded Lady.

Along with the Chain Heavy EP, Calski will be performing tracks from his 2016 solo EP Folkus, while Blaq Carrie will delve into songs from her back catalogue. Both Calski and Blaq Carrie know how to put on a killer show. Don’t miss out on tickets, this will be fire!
