Christmas In Cooroy

Christmas In Cooroy is in it’s 15th year this year and the amazing volunteer committee have come up with some exciting plans to make it bigger and better and best of all it’s still all free! If you haven’t been to Christmas in Cooroy, you’re missing out so make sure you put Saturday 7th December in your diary. It is an afternoon when the community comes together and celebrates. Of course, the amazing Cooroy community spirit makes it such a great afternoon and the program is packed full of fun and entertaining activities!

One thing that continues to be a core part of the event is that everything is free, even the rides! This year to celebrate the 15th birthday of the event, there are more rides than ever before thanks to the very generous businesses in Cooroy! Cooroy Rag have once again sponsored the giant slide, giant castle and giant spinning tea cup ride which have been popular favourites for years.

New this year is Laser Tag sponsored by Sunny Coast Accountants which should be loads of fun for all ages. There are giant games like Jenga, Connect Four and checkers thanks to Eden Private Hospital. There is also a Photo Booth thanks to Fiducian Financial Services which means you can take home a photographic memory of all the fun you had with friends and family.

The Cooroy Fish n Chips Santa Sack Races are back and everyone that participates in this old fashioned fun gets a lucky dip prize. Cooroy Legal Centre sponsor a foam party with a foam cannon that fires into a foam pit! It’s a great way to cool down and while you do get wet, you dry off quickly.
The mini 4WDs thanks to Madill Motor Group and the Animal Farm with all the cute and cuddly farm babies thanks to Cooroy Menswear & Jeanery are always popular too.

There is even free face painting thanks to SPV Accounting and even free popcorn thanks to The Leather Doctor. There is loads more free activities including the Bendigo Bank Street Parade with a theme of “A Moment in Time” and the Bentleys Great Santa Stroll where you get to dress up in a Santa Suit or Christmas Costume and raise funds for Leukaemia Foundation.
