Claire Anne Taylor & Aine Tyrrell

Born in Tasmania’s ancient Tarkine rainforest, Claire Taylor’s music is reflective of her wild and remote upbringing. With her colossal vocals and powerfully captivating stage presence, her live shows leave the audience in no doubt that they have just witnessed something extraordinary.

In January, 2019 Taylor released her second studio album, titled ‘All The Words’. A rich, soulful masterpiece from the Tasmanian songstress, ‘All The Words’ was recorded in a wooden cabin in Tasmania’s Huon Valley. The album sees Taylor’s powerful, smokey voice set amongst a rich musical palette of soul, folk, gospel and blues. Story is at the forefront for troubadour Áine Tyrrell whose rich songwriting practice draws deeply on her Irish roots. Her latest offering ‘Return to the Sea’ was written and recorded in her homeland but mastered and crowdfunded with one boot in the red dirt of her adopted country of Australia. Fiercely independent Tyrrell is not one to bend to the demands of conventional production arrangements, which saw ‘Return To The Sea’ going rogue, recording in lounge rooms, front bars, old churches, and remote islands.
