We can’t always choose what happens to us in life. But we can always choose how we respond.
Melbourne psychotherapist Carol-Ann Allen returns to Midsumma with a new insightful and personal talk, exploring how we grow our courage when we meet life's challenges with heart and spirit. “Courage,” she says, “is a kind of embodied wisdom. We are not bestowed courage at birth; it arises out of our life experience.” At any age, and in any circumstance, our courage grows when we move forward to meet what feels frightening or unfamiliar.
Carol-Ann's moving talk about relationship healing, Making Peace With Your Parents, still resonates for many who attended at Midsumma in past years: "Brave, inspiring, gentle, thought-provoking"; "So impressive"; "Beautifully crafted and courageous"; "A tour de force"; "An amazing experience". Her inspiring talk at Midsumma 2017, Courageous Conversations, re-energised many stuck relationships: “The message of Carol-Ann’s talks is vital and refreshing”; "Life-changing”.
Cultivating Courage is a free community event. Everyone is invited, but seating is limited. So book your seat early. And prepare to be uplifted.
