Darvid Thor is a 24-year old Melbourne based artist making woozy bedroom pop. On his latest track "Get Out", Darvid delivers a skewed pop ballad, revealing a different side from his past singles. With fluid, floating textures and lyrics plucked from a head resting on a morning pillow, there’s an eerie intimacy to it.

Darvid and his band will launch "Get Out" alongside Emma Russack (Official) (solo) and Jarrow (solo). This event takes place on the stolen land of the Wurundjeri tribe of the Kulin nation. We wish to pay our respects to their elders: past, present and emerging and recognise that their sovereignty was never ceded.

Recorded and performed by Darvid, "Get Out" is the third track lifted from his debut mini-album I’m Never Really Here, due for release in early 2019. At times anxious and quietly anguished, tender and candid, these are songs about a growing-up, a breakup, and everything in between. "Do It Again" & "Rest of Your Life," reveal a more straight-ahead dream-pop style; a sweet melancholy of jangly guitars and warbled synthesizers that have afforded support from Danger Mouse, Double J, Triple J Unearthed and Indie Shuffle to name a few. You might also recognise him from indie soul group The Cactus Channel, dreamy pop outfit Frida or Karate Boogaloo.
