On his debut mini-album 'I’m Never Really Here' (out now), Darvid Thor (The Cactus Channel, Frida, Karate Boogaloo) explores what it’s like to make music alone. After playing and writing in bands for over a decade, 'I’m Never Really Here' is Darvid’s first solo venture, and it finds real solace in the solitary.

To celebrate its release, Darvid and his band will play Melbourne with frances fox & David Western (band).

His sweet melancholy of jangly guitars and warbled synthesizers have afforded support from Beach Fossils, DangerMouse, Double J, triple j Unearthed and Indie Shuffle, to name a few. Live, Darvid expands his setup to a four-piece band including Lewis Coleman (The Cactus Channel), Levi Heeringa (Plastic) & Hugh Rabinovici (Leisure Centre).

Single added to Beach Fossils, Bayonet Records & Compact Cassette best of 2018 lists.
Staff select on Indie Shuffle
"Woozy, daydreaming guitar-pop by way of Homeshake and King Krule." - Indie Current
"Bedroom blues that mac would get around." - Declan Byrne, triple J

We acknowledge and respect that this event is being held on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri people. Sovereignty was never ceded.
