Preferences around hierarchy, communication approach and individualism influence how we give and receive feedback. Feedback can be a great prize at times, yet it can be a bomb. We are careful how we normally give feedback so as to not offend people. “Polite” cultures that prioritise not offending people easily result in not giving honest feedback, especially verbally.
This session explains how we can receive honest constructive feedback from “Polite” cultures without making them uncomfortable. We also explore how we manage those cultures that are critical without being offended.
