Nicky Bomba (Melbourne Ska Orchestra, John Butler Trio, Bustamento) is on a new adventure. Taking it back to his roots as a drummer he is launching a fresh band with a new sound. Drumsquad promises to be a veritable rhythmic join the dots expedition with a crew of beat masters and multi instrumentalists.

As an internationally recognised drummer, composer and performer, Nicky Bomba is heading back to where it all started and is incorporating his drumming in to a new type of band with a new type of set. For Drumsquad, he has handpicked a group of talented musicians with varied talents. It presents an exploration into human culture and the rhythmic soundscape it inspires.

Drumsquad shares a passion for percussion, drumming and the effect of grooves and beats on the human psyche. Nicky Bomba switches from the drum kit to guitar and percussion alongside Michael Boase (professional latin drummer and percussionist) and multi-instrumentalist Bunny Man Max. It delves into multicultural hybrids, with roots, reggae and atmospheric soundscapes.

Drumsquad is now on the road showcasing their new material, which ignited the dancefloor on debut at Splendour In The Grass. Don’t miss this tasty slice of rhythm and pulse.

Supported by The Rhythm Hut's own 5 Lands Band.
We're excited to have an extra special appearance by The 5 Lands Band. A well-established, well-known local band, The 5 Lands Band has run for over 10 years around the Central Coast—from Terrigal, to Erina and to Gosford. Named after originally forming to perform at the popular Central Coast 5 Lands Walk in Terrigal, the ever-changing line up of The 5 Lands Band, brings together some of the top musicians from the Central Coast, Sydney and Newcastle. The unique band doesn’t practice, nor write music together, but rather create improvised jams, based on funk, jazz, folk and groove. Well known for getting the dance floor filled, and audience grooving.

Dinner & Drinks @ The Hut
Delicious dinners and desserts are available for purchase before and during the show. The Rhythm Hut is fully licensed with assorted beers, wines and ciders, including locally made Six String Brewing Company and Murray's Craft Brewing Co beers and a range of non alcoholic drinks including locally made Kombucha Zest. Under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Kids under 12 free.
