This July school holidays we’re inviting the kids to take over with the inaugural Family Fiesta.

In a weekend jam-packed with events, activities and workshops, we’re opening up the new Ian Potter Centre for Performing Arts to families. The focus is on interactive and participatory events that will get your children dancing, drawing, singing and reading.

A highlight of the weekend is the stage show adaption of Oscar Wilde’s, The Young King by Slingsby Theatre Company, which uses inventive and immersive ways to get kids involved and engaged in the performance.

Other activities include the Fiesta Book Nook, guest authors such as Judy Horacek (author of Where Is The Green Sheep?), interactive mobile photo studio 'I See You Like This' and 'Sound of Drawing', which allows children to wear headphones and hear the sounds of their drawing as they create artworks.

Exact times can be found of the MLive website. Drop in anytime to be captured by the magic and fun. Note: The Young King is the only ticketed event. Tickets are available for the MLive website. All other events are free.
