Father's Day Service

Father’s Day, Sunday, 1st September, Australians will come together to celebrate marvellous dads. Great Southern Memorial Park will help the families of Logan and Redlands who have lost paternal figures honour and connect with loved ones through a special memorial service, themed "All Dads are Winners".

All are invited to commemorate those who have proceeded us with a non-denominational service, led by local Celebrant Peter McCarthy, which will include a time of reflection and candle light to pay respects. during which the names of loved ones will be read.

For many people it is a difficult day, not knowing whether you should celebrate or let the day go unnoticed.

Janine Hone, Location Manager at Great Southern Memorial Park says, "In our role as carers of the Logan and Redlands community, we think it’s important that everyone has a place to remember the amazing dads who are no longer with us in body, but are ever-present in spirit and memory, and very much loved and missed by those who are here to remember them."

The Father’s Day Service was devised by the team at Great Southern Memorial Park to support people in celebrating the lives of their fathers and grandfathers, while connecting with others who are going through a similar experience.
