Ferncourt Family Fair Day

The Ferncourt Family Fair is a traditional-style school fair with some inner west flair! Luxurious hampers, fun rides, fantastic food and much, much more! This year’s Ferncourt Fair is set to be the best ever! This is a must do, so put it in the diary and spread the word! Gates open at 10am and the fun continues until 4pm.

It’s a wonderful day out with something for everyone, from scrumptious homemade cakes and preserves, a silent auction and our chocolate wheel, to live music all day on three stages! The kids will be able to burn off all that extra energy on the fair rides, get slimed, or join the nerf gun wars. There’s face painting and kids craft too!

Grab a bargain at the second-hand clothing boutique and book store, or hunt for hidden treasures on the white elephant stand. If you’d prefer something a little bit more relaxing, why not enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the historic rose garden with a Devonshire Tea. Afterwards you can wander around and grab some plants, craft items and lovingly-made homemade jams, pickles and chutney. With plenty of delicious fare available your tastebuds won’t be disappointed. Choose from Spanish paella, pulled pork or Vietnamese street food. Of course, all the favourites are on offer too with a sausage sizzle, fairy floss, lolly stall, gelato and barista-made coffee all day.

This year’s Fair will also be the home of The Look Up project. A community art installation created by all of the children at Ferncourt school inspired by the topics of inclusivity, collaboration and sustainability. Made entirely from unwanted fabric, the art installation will be made from over 100m of bunting and will form a stunning welcome canopy at the entrance to the fair—a celebration of community, vibrancy and positivity.

The fair will be held on the Saturday before Mother’s Day, so it’s the perfect opportunity to get some beautiful, unique gifts for all those amazing mums, grandmas and deserving ladies in your life. We hope you come along for a wonderful day out.
