Final Performances By Nash Theatre Group of The Foreigner

Come and enjoy our final production for 2019, the wonderful play ‘The Foreigner’. The Foreigner is an enjoyable mix of comedy and drama, written by one of America’s foremost comedy writers, Larry Shue.

An Englishman arrives in a small town in Georgia, USA, seeking some peace and quiet. Through circumstances, he is introduced as someone who doesn’t speak English, and hopes that that will mean he is left alone without any need to engage with anyone else.

Of course, no peace and quiet happens to Charlie. He overhears secrets and plots that otherwise might never have surfaced and there are consequences that he could not possibly have foreseen to what should be a harmless device.

There’s also a serious message behind the fun, regarding tolerance of others, that’s always relevant and current.
