On the brink of releasing their latest album 'High Hope', English indie rockers Florence + The Machine have announced their glorious return to Aussie shores. Florence Welch and her band will be ripping up stages in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Geelong, Brisbane and Sydney in January next year, marking their return after an epic, sold-out 2015 tour.

“Florence is not one to be tame, nor is her band one to shy away from eccentric production and excessive grandeur,” the Sydney Morning Herald announced of their most recent Australian shows, while The Music declared, “Her presence on stage was nothing short of captivating and if her flowing red hair and bare feet didn't give her the persona of a goddess, her angelic voice did”.

'High As Hope', which is due out on 29 June, is as intimate as it is epic, venturing into new sonic territory whilst reaching back to Florence’s roots. The new album will feature collaborations from the likes of Kamasi Washington, Sampha, Tobias Jesso Jr, Kelsey Lu and Jamie xx, and as Florence describes it, “is a pure expression of who I am now, as an artist, and an honest one.”

'Big God', the third single off the album, was released globally this week. As Paste Magazine notes, “If Welch’s ethereal vocals made her sound like a goddess on previous tracks, she’s a distinctly grounded one on Big God. Big God is sparser, but gorgeously so.” Earlier this year, Florence + The Machine performed their brooding second single 'Hunger' on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.

Breaking into the scene in 2007, the band has so far released three studio albums albums: Lungs (2009), Ceremonials (2011) and How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful (2015), which dazzled fans and critics alike and produced a slew of worldwide hits including 'You’ve Got The Love', 'Dog Days Are Over', 'Shake It Out', 'Spectrum (Say My Name)' and 'Never Let Me Go' among many others.

Grab your tickets and experience what will surely be another set of powerful and dramatic live performances from Florence + The Machine this 2019!
